My mother was a beautiful women and wonderful artist. I am featuring some her art pieces in my gallery in honor of her life. She was my best friend, teacher and mentor. She taught me everything I know about art. She died of cancer November 4, 2002.
Being a mother myself, I don't know how she found time to be an artist with six kids of her own! But she did!
She used to love to use me as her model. I remember one time I was reading a book infront of my dressing table mirror in my slip and she walked by and said "Hold it right there! I have to paint you!" She captured on canvas the way the light came through the window, casting just the right shadows creating a dramatic effect and is one of my favorite paintings to this day.
